Manager reports to the Director and is responsible for managing the
day-to-day functions of the HPHC, TAHP, and AHP team for all MGB
entities. The position requires thorough knowledge of Coverage and
Billing for the Payer(s). Knowledge of all aspects of revenue cycle
as well as a general knowledge of other departments in the unit is
necessary to assist managers and director for efficient and timely
compliant billing and resolution of the Account Receivable.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

- Responsible for the day to day functions of the HPHC, TAHp, and
AHP Team
- Manage A/R follow-up and resolution using appropriate workflow
tools in Epic and other systems
- Identify, analyze and escalate coverage and COB related issues
impacting A/R
- Responsible for documenting and implementing policies and
procedures related to the billing process
- Work as a liaison with MGB Corporate Billing, Compliance, and
local entities to address denials, audits and documentation
issues
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as required to update
director, CBO director, and Finance to ensure A/R goals are within
budget
- Address department issues in the absence of the Director
- Ensures follow up, denials and appropriate collections are
maintained for the unit
- Provide oversight for training, developing and monitoring all
staff assigned to the Payer Group Accounts Receivable follow up
team
- Motivate, train, hire, mentor and manage performance issues of
staff according to MGB CBO policies
- Ensures all staff evaluations are completed timely
- Adhere to the organization's HIPAA Privacy guidelines
- Performs all other duties, assignments, and special projects as
requested Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 5 or more years relevant experience in a health care setting
desired
- EPIC Revenue system experience preferred
- Alternative work experience or training in lieu of experience
may be considered Skills/Abilities/Competencies
- Competency in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, and
Outlook
- Ability to handle multiple tasks having complex procedural
steps in a timely manner
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate
with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the
organization
- Ability to work self-sufficiently on assigned tasks without
