Job Description:
The Corporate Director of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is r
esponsible for the leadership, innovation, governance, and
management vital to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and supervise the
System's enterprise risks. The Director shall establish tools,
practices, and policies necessary to effectively identify, analyze
and report enterprise risks, and solicits input from management
regarding potential likelihood and impact of risks that advises
decision-making regarding risk mitigation activities. Principal
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with business leaders, legal and compliance as well as
auditors to develop and refine controls as well as written policies
and procedures that strengthen the control environment while
maintaining business efficiency.
- Coordinate Mass General Brigham's Enterprise Risk Assessment
Committee (ERAC), including assisting business owners and subject
matter authorities in preparing written materials in a manner that
assists senior leadership in effectively and efficiently making
risk-based decisions.
- Coordinate a periodic risk identification and assessment
process through inquiry and discussion with management. Compile
information into an enterprise risk framework for review and
discussion by Senior Management and the Audit and Compliance
Committee.
- Perform detailed reviews of certain areas of identified
enterprise risk as advised by Senior Management and the Audit &
Compliance Committee. Formal assessments of risks including
findings and recommendations shall be summarized in a format
appropriate for Senior Management and Audit and Compliance
Committee review.
- Direct the work of the Virtual Care Compliance Manager and
Third Party Risk Management Program Manager, including
establishment of annual goals and work plans that focus on
appropriate risks in the context of the current regulatory
environment. - Qualifications: -
- 7-10 total years experience and at least 5 years experience in
a management capacity within a healthcare provider organization
that includes a background in risk management, internal audit,
and/or regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or
similar field is required; MBA is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, especially
Excel and PowerPoint plus
- -Strong background in risk management and internal control,
including:
- Detailed knowledge of organizational risk assessment, risk
management and mitigation strategies, risk management systems,
tools and technology, and standard processes, particularly in
healthcare organizations with strong analytical, technical and
problem-solving skills Skills/Abilities/Competencies: -

control and risk matters to business leaders
