students who are passionate about hands-on learning. Our students

world through their work and ideas. - -
Full Time Teacher: Media Specialist -
NuVu is looking to add an experienced instructor to our dynamic and
creative faculty. This position requires strong interests and
experience in design, education, and technology. Instructors are
responsible for developing and co-teaching studios where they lead
students through the steps of the design process: researching,
brainstorming, prototyping, iterating, and presenting. They also
work alongside other coaches and experts from the field in a
dynamic, hands-on studio setting.
NuVu instructors are energetic, reflective and creative. They are
inspired to work with high school students in a project-based
studio environment. NuVu instructors help stimulate students'
imagination while empowering them to think critically and
creatively. Our instructors come from diverse backgrounds that
include industrial design, architecture, mechanical engineering,

SAMPLE STUDIOSHere are examples of two studios that incorporated
elements of Media Specialist:
"Sign 'O the Times"Radio is the most accessible, immediate medium
for news. In a world of inescapable screens, the best audio
journalism lets us avert our eyes and still make a profound
connection to the vital cultural and political issues of a
seemingly divided world. Students will create short, high-quality,
multi-layered audio pieces (mixed media podcast). They will use
narration, interviews, sound and music to tell the engaging,
original, human stories that they find. -
"Documentary Film Making: AI & Ethics"Every day there are news
stories about breakthroughs and pitfalls related to technological
advances in machine learning and robotics. Students will learn
filmmaking skills then research, plan, film, and edit short
documentaries about ethical issues related to the development of
artificial intelligence. Students will share these movies to help
educate the world about real problems and improvements that may
arise from AI and robots. Our school implements a variety of COVID
safety measures in an effort to maintain a safe environment for all
students and staff. The interview process will take place
virtually. Candidates must be comfortable teaching onsite.

inclusive and equitable practices.
