As an Integration Engineer, your objective is to support our
clients and our team in connecting and maintaining connection
between our clients' building automation systems and KGS'
cloud-based analytics platform, Clockworks. You will work closely
with our operations team to connect clients to the platform,
troubleshooting integration issues with protocols such as BACnet,
oBIX, Haystack, OPC, and other integration methods and breaking
through IT barriers with proxies, port settings, and firewalls. You
will also work closely with our Lead Integration Engineer to
advance and maintain integration code libraries for integration to
a wide range of building protocols. We expect to fill the position
with someone what has exposure to and knowledge of building
automation system protocols and software from companies such as
Schneider Electric, Siemens, Johnson Controls, and Honeywell.

Core Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Integration Support (90%)
--- Systems integration software installations, server and solution
setup, server maintenance and configuration, networking, and
--- Configuring proxy settings.
--- Optimizing building automation system request settings.
--- Maintenance and communication with client and client
--- Configuring and installing our Software Gateway for all new
client and partner projects
--- Troubleshooting BAS integrations directly with clients and

connectivity and troubleshooting based on BAS and Protocol specific
--- Update JIRA Internal Service Desk tickets with troubleshooting
steps and resolution enacted.
--- Work with Onboarding team members to facilitate remote BAS Data

--- Validating and defining architectures for new client
--- Document integration requirements and train employees to
Systems Integration Development, Maintenance, and Testing (10%)
--- Develop and integrate custom software data collection methods
and procedures for multiple building management systems.
--- Software development and architecture including but not limited
to: web projects, c# class libraries, web services, WCF services,
console applications, and windows applications.
--- Leveraging control systems relational database schemas.
--- Architecting advanced solutions to handle distributing big
--- Data protocol integration and device discovery including but
not limited to: BACnet, Modbus, Lonworks, OPC, Niagara R2 and AX,
Schneider Vista, and oBIX.
--- Control system integration and device discovery including but
not limited to: Schneider Electric, JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, Delta
Controls, and ALC.
--- Ensure the quality of applications through formal testing
practices and documentation including unit testing, regression
testing, load/stress testing, performance testing, and use
--- Maintain the integrity of application source code and
underlying data through the use of version control systems.
--- Deployment and release management.
--- Thoroughly document setup guides, deployment procedures, Visio
network diagrams, inline code comments, version control comments,
and task/bug tracking comments.
--- Interaction with building science team to determine accurate
data flow and setup.
--- Strong technical troubleshooting skills
--- Enjoys problem solving
--- Quick study, self-motivated, and focused
--- Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and prioritize
--- Able to produce concise design documentation
--- Experience with automated unit and functional testing tools,
and the ability to write and execute test plans
--- Building Automation Systems such as Schneider Electric
Ecostruxure, Siemens Apogee or Desigo, JCI Metasys, Honeywell EBI,
Tridium Niagara, Delta Controls, or others
--- Data protocol integration including but not limited to: BACnet,
TCP/IP, Modbus, LON, OPC, I/Net, I/A, Vista, and OBIX.
--- Wireshark troubleshooting
--- .NET Framework using C#
