Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Engineer - Senior Team Lead
3, will be responsible for performing development and technical support
for all MathWorks products and internal tools; working closely with
development teams to assist in and improve the performance of building
MathWorks software; solving technical problems and architecting solid
cross- platform code and tools; and tracking and improving the
performance and reliability of MathWorks build systems. Education and Experience: Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent)
in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer
Science and Engineering, Systems Science, or Operations Research and
no experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Science
and Engineering, Systems Science, or Operations Research and five
(5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience
developing software tools and visualization utilities for IT
infrastructure support. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise in Linux system programming using C
or C++. • Demonstrated expertise in design and development of
distributed systems applications using multithreading, socket programming,
and message broker in object-oriented programming languages -- C++
or Java. • Demonstrated expertise in Shell, Perl, and AWK scripting
for software tool development within a Linux or Unix
environment. • Demonstrated expertise in Web Services development; and
in database design and development within a relational database --
