analytics capability that seamlessly integrates project and asset
strategy with portfolio management and long-range planning. Each
project team is supported by a dedicated Portfolio Analytics team
member, who is the key strategic adviser for the project team. The
Portfolio Analytics team member sits on the project leadership
team, provides decision analysis-based strategic support for
business cases that maximize the lifetime value of the asset, and
supports development of the investment plan. The financial data and
strategic insight generated by the Portfolio Analytics team member
integrates with the portfolio and long-range planning analytics led
by the Strategy group to provide senior leadership with a broad and
deep understanding of the business.Reporting to the Senior
Director, Portfolio Analytics, the Associate Director will be
responsible for providing project team support and delivering
high-quality, actionable strategic insights in a fit-for-purpose
manner. This passionate leader will contribute to the development
of the organization---s strategic practice, including facilitation,
methodology, process, and toolsets as well as the development of
our internal clients--- appreciation for how to leverage strategy
to drive business results.Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesProvide
strategic support to project teams, including framing strategic
issues, facilitating the development of alternatives, choosing a
methodology that is situationally appropriate, collecting
information to support analysis, conducting analysis, presenting
analysis results.Develop partnerships with key colleagues,
including general managers, project team leaders, and others to
provide fully integrated support to project teams. In our low
structure environment, using informal relationships to get things
done is a key skill, and the successful candidate will be adept at
creating and nurturing these relationships.Facilitate meetings with
a wide range of purposes---to understand and synthesize diverse
perspectives on key issues, to brainstorm, to prioritize, frame or
structure a problem, etc.Maintain an overall perspective on the
corporate portfolio and the external environment and bring this
context into project team interactions to help project team members
incorporate a big-picture perspective into their areas of
functional expertise.Develop and use models and tools designed to
understand risk, time, cost and value under many scenarios and with
a variety of decision frameworks, and to draw insight from these
models and present and explain it to stakeholders. Provide thought
leadership to the Portfolio Analytics team in one or more areas of
interest to the Portfolio Analytics teamContribute to the evolution
of our Portfolio Analytics team by contributing to our culture,
identity, capabilities, and internal brand.QualificationsThe
Associate Director/Director will be part of a very active team
