Description -The Population Health Management (PHM) department at Mass General Brigham (MGB) aims to deliver health and healthcare for all by translating the evolving needs of the healthcare landscape into innovative solutions to better serve individuals, communities, and organizations. Position HighlightsServes as a strategic adviser to the Chief Population Health Officer (CPHO) and senior PHM leadership team.Leads the administrative functions of PHM (finance, administrative team, department communications, process improvement, project management, internal people function).Serves as a partner, confidante and sounding board for the CPHO to help navigate issues, troubleshoot areas of risk, create a high-performing organization, and focus all levels of the department on the effective execution of strategic initiatives.Supports the CPHO in maintaining and strengthening the partnership with AllWays Heath Partners within MGB and other strategic MGB partners.Provide Direct Support to CPHOAct as a thought partner to the CPHO to ensure PHM achieves strategic goals and objectivesAssist the CPHO in focusing the department on key prioritiesCritically assess opportunities and risks to make well-informed decisions -Represent the CPHO in internal and external preparation meetings for CPHO presentationsAttend meetings on behalf of the CPHOWork with subject matter experts to prepare briefing materials on specific issues and projectsManage the meeting agendas and cadence of department meetingsConduct meetings and follow up, ensure the CPHO has all information needed, and send out agendas or documents to meeting attendeesLead Department AdministrationLead the PHM finance function to ensure the department budget is properly managed, deadlines are met, and department leaders understand and manage their budget areasLead the PHM training team Supervise the administrative teamOversee internal communications, presentations, projects and HR support functions Serve as the liaison to Human Resources and support the annual employee goal setting process and annual performance reviewsCoordinate with the HR business partner to support leaders' and employees' career development Serve as the senior leadership liaison with the PHM Employee Engagement CommitteeOversee department onboarding and transition of employeesMaintain the department emergency plan and contactsLead the creation and maintenance of the department business continuity planOversee department eventsMake Population Health Management a Talent EngineCreate onboarding programs that delight and engage incoming talentDevelop effective and supportive processes for feedback, performance management, and talent development Develop an employee value proposition and the processes and structures to support itDesign and execute best-in-class program for internal training and development - Transform Population Health Management to an Agile Operating ModelTrain managers to provide vision and inspire, model and coach rather than directDevelop the structures and processes to support behavioral expectationsDevelop team processes to free up time to work on value-creating activities Create linking mechanisms to enable resources from different functions to collaborate Establish scalable systems to drive visibility and information-sharingDesign planning and processes to enable rapid testing and learning and streamline decision-makingCreate opportunities for employees to form networks and build relationships across the organization Create structures to ensure information is easily accessibleInternal Communications for Population Health ManagementPartner with external consultants and MGB's communication team to create a bold vision and narrative for value-based care Support the mission and vision of PHM and make it clear across the department and organizationDevelop a communication strategy and plan for PHM for communicating messages to stakeholdersEnsure communications across the department are coordinated, of excellent quality, and capture the vision and goals of the department Create department trainings and templates to provide best practices in communications Ensure coordination between internal and external communicationsMGB ValuesUse MGB's values to govern decisions, actions and behaviors and use them to guide how we get our work done: Patients, Affordability, Accountability & Service Commitment, Decisiveness, Innovation & Thoughtful Risk;
