Position Summary:
As part of the Portfolio, Program, and Alliance Management (PPAM) team, the Associate Director, Digital (Automation, Informatics, IT) Projects will partner with Digital Leaders and Business/System Owners to develop and drive project plans and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of new digital capabilities according to design requirements, on time, and with high quality.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support high impact, cross functional digital projects from in-take to implementation, including change management and alignment on hand-over criteria and maintenance plan.

  • Assist in the articulation of problem statement and business requirements and translation to system and organizational requirements and project concept
    
  • Support collection of input for criticality/business case score to assist in prioritization
    
  • Closely track milestones and timelines and ensure on time delivery
    
    
    
  • Serve as the "glue" to high impact project teams. Ensure close collaboration, communication, and engagement within the project teams and with key stakeholders.
    
    • 
      
    • Set the agenda and facilitate project team meetings. Capture and distribute minutes to project team and key stakeholders
      
    • Partner with Digital Leader and System/Business Owner to ensure clarity on scope, success criteria, and timing of team deliverables including robust system and user acceptance testing, training, and change management
      
    • Follow-up with team members to track progress or identify issues, as needed
      
    • Maintain appropriate project documentation
      
      
      
    • Operational owner of plans for high impact projects including timelines, assumptions, and scenarios
      
      • 
        
      • Track major deliverables, milestones and risks related to project plan
        
      • Proactively identify risks and gaps and work with SMEs to develop and implement mitigation plans
        
        
        
      • Portfolio, Program and Alliance Management (PPAM)
        
        • 
          
        • Leverage tools and best practices from PPAM to provide project management support to high impact digital projects.
          
        • Drive implementation of the DACI model
          
        • Be an actively engaged Digital SME within the PPAM team. Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of PPAM tools and best practices, ensuring applicability to Digital project management.
          
          
          
        • Resource Management for high impact projects
          
        • Support System Owners
          
          • 
            
          • Oversight of vendors through meeting coordination and collection of status updates
            
          • Support P2P activities: generation of contracts, open POs, manage invoices and payments
            
          • Generate and manage budgets for projects
            
            
            
          • Inform Portfolio Operations of approved projects that require a project code
            
          • Escalate gaps in resources (internal FTEs, external spend, etc.) to relevant leaders
            
            Basic Qualifications:
            
            • 
              
            • Bachelor's degree plus minimum of 7 years of professional experience, preferably Project Management in the biotech or high tech industries. Demonstrated track record managing projects to build and implement new capabilities, preferably success with software integration
              
            • PMP and/or Agile certified with experience in various project management methodologies (e.g., scrum, Kanban, waterfall)
              
            • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, Jira, and Smartsheet
              
            • Energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about bringing people from different areas of expertise together towards a common goal
              
            • High level of accountability for his/her/their projects. Proactive in identifying project risks/challenges and steering teams towards resolution.
              
            • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence without authority and adapt style to different audiences
              
            • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn and grow
