certifications and location. The full salary range for this role
reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in
these positions across the national market and provides an
opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the

compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus
earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in
the compensation plan for the role.
DescriptionThe Senior Director I, Energy Transition manages product
development, product maintenance, pricing and profitability and
plays a key role in partnering with the Global Head of Energy
Transition in setting the strategic direction for Energy Transition
for GRS, engaging with brokers and clients to ensure the products
are market leading. Responsible for all product specific capability
enhancement decisions, this role will drive Energy Transition
product development and continuous improvement across Global Risk
Solutions (GRS). The role will manage cross-dependencies with
functional areas to ensure Energy Transition products are fit for
purpose and drive efforts to ensure products remain competitive in
the global market. The Sr Director I will ensure we have
appropriate training for employees related to Energy Transition and
lead talent development initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Strategy &
Execution
- Plays a key role in partnering with the Global Head of Energy
Transition to set the product strategy and annual financial plan
for Energy Transition to ensure our products meet the needs of our
clients and brokers while also driving overall profitability.
- Monitors developments in the macro and regional risk
environments that could impact product portfolio performance and
partners with internal team members to ensure alignment between
pricing, risk selection and direction of the portfolio.
- Drives knowledge sharing for relevant global and regional
trends and information on evolving nature of risk, performance
results, claim trends, etc. that will then be used to inform local
underwriting strategy decisions
- Develops and executes plan for identification, quantification,
approaches to wording, underwriter training for Energy Transition
with input from team.
- Enables design of and approves new Energy Transition products,
in alignment with internal stakeholder, client and broker
needs.
- Collaborates with actuarial, claims and UW Heads to ensure that
our product and wordings are fit for purpose and properly
priced.
- Works closely with Sustainability and Risk teams to validate
assumptions in various transition risk scenarios.
- Establishes formal guidelines and standards to build a common
approach for Energy Transition underwriting and risk servicesUW
Capability Development:
- Determines SBU underwriting investment needs to continue
monitoring and/or executing effectively, including data capture or
strategy.
- Monitors existing training and talent development programs
across the globe to ensure proper levels of technical training for
Energy Transition.
- Drives knowledge sharing for relevant global and regional
trends and information on evolving nature of risk, performance
results, claim trends, etc. that will then be used to inform local
underwriting strategy decisions.Talent Management
- Operates in Team of Teams environment, leading product and/or
underwriting analyst professionals to enable global execution of
product initiativesQualified candidates should have:
- Extensive Underwriting P&L experience
- Deep experience in technical training for Energy
Transition
- Energy Transition product expertise and underwriting
experience, working knowledge of relevant products. Deep
understanding of how the pieces of the organization fit together to
create value and deliver results. Maintain a solid grasp on the
ever-changing context within which the business competes.
- Internationally experienced
- Leader with strategic mindset and demonstrated relationship
building ability. Ability to form effective and trusting
relationships with superiors, peers, and direct reports, studying,
and meeting the needs of key stakeholders.
- Able to operate and influence in a complex matrix environment,
acting as the convenor for capabilities owned by others. Can
articulate views, engage other ideas, analyse data for insights,
weigh alternatives, own the final call, and communicate decisions
clearly.
- Able to advocate for Energy Transition topics internally and
externally and gain alignment for Energy Transition processes,
tools, and capabilities across markets
- Knowledge, skills, and other capabilities normally acquired
through a bachelor`s degree or equivalent and extensive related
experience.Adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements forms

- Highly developed quantitative analysis and problem-solving
skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to influence other leaders across an
organization 10+ years progressively responsible work experience in
an analytically driven environment
- Previous experience in consulting or call center / customer
service analytics in insurance or financial services preferred but
not required
- MBA or advanced degree in quantitative field preferred but not
