Teams from Data and Analytics, Research Analytics, Clinical Data Science, and Information Systems are collaborating to build this new data and analytic ecosystem. To ensure success of this effort, Mass General Brigham is standing up a new Data and Analytics operating model with a goal of driving a level of standardization for data and analytic operations across the teams involved.The value of investments in data and analytics were proven out during our response to COVID-19 as these investments were leveraged to stand up new reporting and analytic capabilities to support executive and clinical leadership on managing the pandemic. Our broad data and analytic community has come together across Mass General Brigham 's 14 healthcare sites with shared urgency, delivering analytic tools to our system that drove timely insights in both clinical and operational domains, resulting in effective delivery of critical care and in organizational efficiencies during a time of reduced resources. General Summary:The Disaster Recovery Services team is responsible for the Disaster Recovery (DR) lifecycle of the most critical applications to Mass General Brigham IS Operations. The team works closely with the various teams from Information Services, Site departments, and vendor partners to ensure the proper DR solution is designed and maintained to meet the business' resiliency needs. The Disaster Recovery Analyst Candidate will report to the Director of Enterprise Delivery Services. Responsibilities include the management of Disaster Recovery plans and related projects, with a focus on applications hosted in various cloud services. The position requires a strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery principles and concepts. Candidate will work with consumers, technologists, and management across Mass General Brigham and its Site Institutions to assist with development, implementation, exercise, and maintenance of their Disaster Recovery lifecycle.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate and develop Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies that comply with Mass General Brigham Disaster Recovery Policy and IS Leadership's strategic direction.Provide exemplary customer service as a member and representative of the Mass General Brigham Disaster Recovery Services team.Work with technical engineers to document Disaster Recovery plans and infrastructure diagrams.Coordinate and execute a DR Managed Failover Run-book across App Owners and Plan Builders. Leverage your knowledge of IT infrastructure and Disaster Recovery to bridge the gaps to ensure we have appropriate plans in place for managed failover of our critical cloud hosted solutions.Complete work assignments in accordance with an established project timeline.Manage Disaster Recovery and Disaster Recovery efforts across Mass General Brigham and its Site Institutions from inception thru testingDevelop and manage timelines, milestones to assist in failover exercises. Provide appropriate and timely problem escalation to IS Management. Provide on-going project status reports both to internal IS management, sub committees and project steering committee. Assign and delegate DR planning assignments as appropriate. Provide direction and guidance to DR plan team members to facilitate timely and quality results. Monitor quality of work performed by team members throughout the Disaster Recovery planning lifecycle.Establish and create a positive project team environment through leadership and mentoring.Provide performance evaluation feedback to the direct supervisor of team members.Function both as an individual contributor and team player within Mass General Brigham IS and various Site Institutions.Uses the Mass General Brigham values to govern decisions, actions and behaviors. Strong knowledge of Visio, and how to extrapolate technology infrastructure into Visio diagrams.Epic Systems and VMware, EMC and Citrix platform familiarity desiredAbility to cooperatively and effectively work with people from all Site Institutions and levels with the organizational to build consensus through negotiation and diplomacy.Strong workforce productivity application skills desired (e.g., Microsoft 365 and Project, PowerPoint, Visio)Ability to facilitate and work within a complex, multi-site environment.Assist business units with identifying critical applications by performing Operational Impact Analysis Raise challenges to Senior Leadership that could impact Disaster Recovery PlanningWork with business unit management to enhance contingency plans, mitigating the effect of a technology system or application failure. Perform periodic reviews of established Disaster Recovery Plans, reporting findings to management and other team members and make recommendations for plan improvementsPresenting to all levels of the organizationWorking Conditions: MGB has implemented special remote working policies due to COVID-19.
