$10k Sign-On Bonus (pro-rated for part time employees) for newly hired experienced RNs with 2 years of experience in the specialty hired for.
In partnership with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, CHA has expanded inpatient psychiatric care in the region, by adding 42 new child, adolescent and neurodevelopmental beds at its Somerville Campus. The new CHACenter for Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Somerville will provide a transformative continuum of patient and family-centered care for diverse youth with mental health needs.
The Somerville Hospital Float Pool Registered Nurses provide care with an emphasis on culturally sensitive, evidence based nursing practice. While regularly scheduled, the members of the float pool are deployed on a shift by shift to provide nursing care to patients in the psychiatric units including Adolescent, Child and Neurodevelopment psych.
Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Massachusetts RN license required
  • American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required
  • BSN or ASN degree required -
  • 1-2 years acute inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
  • In addition, newly hired candidates are required to successfully complete a job specific physical agility test
