SUMMARY:The Syndemics Lab at Boston Medical Center is seeking a web
development intern for Summer 2024 (June 2024-August 2024). This
intern would be responsible for working with lab software engineers
to design and implement a modern web application for end users to
run simulation models developed by the lab. This web application is
part of a lab research project intended to result in publications,
harm reduction policy impact, and advanced research techniques for
epidemiologists across the country.The ideal applicants will have
an interest in web development techniques, be comfortable asking
questions without known answers, and a basic understanding of
HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (React/Remix preferred). An
understanding of cloud technologies is a plus but not required.
Able to work during the hours of 8am - 5pm EDT. If in Boston we
offer hybrid work, otherwise this position can be fully remote.
