Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg PCU Tele Job Details: • Work on adaptive acuity unit with 1:5 nurse to patient ratio on 25-bed unit • Occasionally provide PCU care with 3:1 ratio - this is non-negotiable and may not be refused • Charge nurse responsibilities required - will not consider candidates without charge experience • Must be willing to float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice • Every other weekend and holiday coverage as required • Drip experience required • 2 years of current med surg/telemetry experience required • Progressive Care Unit/PCU experience strongly required • ICU experience strongly preferred • Charge experience required • Minimum 3 months previous travel experience required (non-negotiable) • Small critical access facility experience preferred • Must have own vehicle • Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) • Vermont RN license or compact required • Skills checklists required for PCU, Medical Surgical, and Telemetry (current within 1 year) • One supervisory signed reference from within past two years required • All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission Facility: This small critical access hospital provides comprehensive medical services to the community with a focus on adaptive acuity care.
