Job Description:
Sunrise Senior Living, known for its commitment to providing
personalized senior care tailored to the needs of each resident, is
seeking a dedicated Medication Nurse to join our team. In this
role, you will be pivotal in administering medication and ensuring
the health and wellness of our residents across our assisted living
and memory care units. You will work closely with the healthcare
team to deliver high-quality care plans and track patient responses
to treatments. This position requires attention to detail,
professional judgment, and compassion towards elderly patients.
Administer prescribed medications to patients and maintain related
medical records under supervision. Verify identity of the patient
receiving medication and record the name of the drug, dosage, and
time of administration on specified forms or records. Communicate
with physicians, LPNs, radiologists and other medical professionals
collaboratively. Monitor patients for reactions or side effects of
medication administered and report any adverse reactions. Assess
patients for further needs, coordinate with other healthcare
providers, and assist in developing care plans. Educate patients
and their families on possible side effects of medications and
proper medication management. Proficient in managing medication for
a large number of patients efficiently Excellent organizational
skills and attention to detail Strong interpersonal and
communication skills Ability to respond appropriately to emergency
situations Knowledge of medical software for patient care
management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of
employment Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
in medication administration is a plus
