be considered. A stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is
available in Grafton, WV, offering a 13-week contract with the
possibility of extension. This position focuses on providing care
in a lower acuity stepdown unit during night shifts with a 3x12
schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM, working weekdays and every other
weekend. The role emphasizes patient safety and monitoring with a
typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, adjusting to 1:5 in
emergencies. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized nursing care
in a stepdown unit fitting for patients requiring telemetry
monitoring but not drips. Perform IV starts and continuous cardiac
monitoring. Accurately read and interpret cardiac strips to assess
patient conditions. Maintain patient safety and respond quickly in
urgent scenarios. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to
deliver high-quality patient care. Adhere to policies limiting
attendance issues, with a facility expectation of no more than 2-3
call-offs per contract. Qualifications and Experience: Active RN
license with 2 years of nursing experience. Minimum 1 year of
experience on Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units. At least 2 years
experience in stepdown nursing. Certifications required: BCLS and
ACLS. Proficiency with telemetry and IV start. Experience with
Cerner EMR is preferred. Ability to work night shifts on a 3x12
