A part-time nursing professional is required to provide dedicated care for a 1:1 preschool student with complex medical needs in an elementary school setting. The position is based in the Derry, NH area and will be contracted for the current school year (CSY) duration. Responsibilities include supporting a student with significant medical requirements, such as managing an NG tube and responding to seizures, ensuring their health and safety during school hours. The role involves working Tuesday and Thursday mornings, approximately from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m., with the possibility of accompanying the student on the school bus as needed. Preferred qualifications include: - Valid Nursing License (RN preferred, LPN may be considered at district discretion) - Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing settings - Skilled in handling complex medical equipment and emergency care - Familiarity with individualized care plans for students with special healthcare needs - Strong communication and observational skills to liaise with educators, families, and healthcare providers Location: Elementary school setting in the Derry, NH vicinity. This contract position is expected to start mid-February, contingent upon procurement of a specialized wheelchair and required medical documentation. The assignment will continue until June 15, 2026.
