Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals in providing exceptional care in a variety of settings, including facility-based and home-based environments. This role is critical in consulting with pulmonologists to create treatment plans, performing procedures prescribed by physicians, and contributing to a multidisciplinary medical team. Our Respiratory Therapists play a key role in patient recovery and well-being across 42 states where we operate, adhering to the highest standards of healthcare services. Assess and diagnose patient respiratory disorders using clinical evaluations. Consult with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans. Perform therapeutic procedures like aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, and airway management. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and respiratory care procedures. Monitor and record patient progress and treatment effectiveness. Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with all safety and health policies. Skilled in pulmonary rehabilitation and respiratory care techniques. Ability to operate and maintain respiratory equipment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient education. Proficiency in electronic health record systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current state Respiratory Therapist Licensure. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
