Position DescriptionPrimary Functions:Reporting to the Director of Executive and Organizational Effectiveness (EOE), provide organization development consulting to Harvard schools and departments. Consulting responsibilities include working with departments to foster a culture of equity, inclusion, and engagement; designing and implementing large-scale change efforts, strategic planning, leadership retreat design and facilitation. Program responsibilities include leading the delivery an executive program on equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, and serving as program manager and instructor in an executive coaching program.Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as OD consultant to administrative leaders in the schools and central administrative units.Develop and implement OD solutions in partnership with related HHR departments and local school/unit leadership.Define the requirements of a given initiative or project, develop a work plan, and recruit/enlist key partners and stakeholders.Lead efforts to design and deliver workshop series to university executives on equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.Design and deliver workshops on a range of leadership effectiveness topics.Conduct needs assessment, design and analyze surveys, and measure effectiveness of programs and workshops.Partner with other Center for Workplace Development colleagues on consulting engagements and resource development.Collect, share and publicize resources, tools and best practices for key initiatives, and convene relevant communities of learning.Represent CWD and HHR on University and external committees.Other duties and projects as assigned.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required Minimum of 7 years' relevant work experienceAdditional Qualifications and Skills. -Master's degree in organizational development (or related area) preferred along with seven years OD consulting experienceDemonstrated excellence in consulting skills.Demonstrated program design and delivery skills, particularly in the areas of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, and leadership effectiveness.Demonstrated ability to quickly assess organizational needs and culture and implement appropriate interventions.Demonstrates insight and creativity and offers options and solutions when approaching issues or challenges.Effective communication and influencing skills, both written and oral, with the ability to clearly and concisely share information and ideas with a range of leadership audiences.Strong interpersonal skills.Capacity to develop and maintain strong professional relationships across the organization and to work collaboratively with colleagues.A flexible "can do" attitude and approach to the work.Ability to maintain confidential information and exercise discretion and tact.Working ConditionsWork is performed in an office settingThis position will be based in Cambridge, MA. All remote work must be performed in a state in which Harvard is registered to do business (CA, CT, MA, MD, ME, NH, NY, RI, and VT). Human Resources Consulting is currently developing hybrid workplace models which actively support some remote work (within a state in which Harvard is registered to do business) where business and team needs allow.
