About the job: We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help us to continue scaling and enhancing Runway, our in-house AI/ML model deployment platform. We serve hundreds of data scientists across the company, and our platform enables them to deploy and operationalize their AI/ML models themselves - from computer vision models that use satellite imagery for policy pricing, to natural language processing models that help Liberty detect fraudulent activity.This role will be focused on the model deployment and infrastructure side of Runway. You'll use your knowledge of the cloud, Python expertise, container deployment and orchestration, DevOps, web services development, and more to help us enhance and expand our deployment offerings for data scientists. Designing and building with resiliency, performance, and massive scale in mind will be key for our incredibly diverse set of data science users, as well as the long list of teams, systems, and apps that consume the hundreds of models already deployed via Runway. You'll be a member of a mature Agile squad with a diverse set of skills and contribute quickly and meaningfully to Liberty Mutual's huge strategic initiative to unlock the value of our data. Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline preferably computer science or software engineering5 years of professional software development experienceExtensive experience with Python, AWS, and container development Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures and technical standardsAnalytical, problem solving, and communication skillsKnowledge of design and development toolsConsulting, negotiation and consensus building skillsStrong presentation and written communication skills Desired Skills:AWS: container deployment and orchestration, DevOps (CDK, preferably TypeScript), security (IAM), meeting enterprise standards for AWS development and deploymentsExperience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/Fargate, EKS, load balancing)Web services development and management, REST API experience (Flask, FastAPI, Spring Boot)Proficient with AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, and microservices conceptsAgile software development experience Highly competitive candidates will have: AWS SageMaker and Lambda experienceJava / Spring Boot familiarityReact or TypeScript (front-end development) experienceFamiliarity with data science/machine learning concepts and practicesQuality engineering experience using Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven DevelopmentSee Job DescriptionPDN-95f67924-a7e7-4304-b9ff-dbe077b19618
