Clean Harbors is actively seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Hazmat CDL Route Driver to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and compliant transportation and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with federal and state regulations. As a Hazmat CDL Route Driver, you will serve not only as a driver but as a front-line representative, upholding our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Join us and play a crucial role in protecting the environment while managing hazardous waste operations efficiently. Operate Class A vehicles in a safe and efficient manner while transporting hazardous materials. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to hazardous waste transportation. Prepare and manage transport documentation, including manifests and bills of lading. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Collaborate with dispatch and other team members to ensure effective communication and efficient route planning. Participate in emergency response calls as needed to provide spill cleanup and containment. Adhere to all company policies related to safety and preventative measures to ensure a safe working environment. Proficient in operating Class A commercial vehicles. Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and safety procedures. Ability to maintain accurate records and logs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction. Capability to respond effectively in emergency situations. Clean driving record. DOT physical examination certificate.
