Job Description1 purposeto reimagine medicine Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research is seeking a candidate with a strong background in chromatin biology and epigenetics to join our small molecule drug discovery group in the Oncology Disease Area (DA) in Cambridge MA. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of new therapies for cancer through critically contributing to projects within a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team of scientists. This position is ideal for those candidates seeking to utilize their expertise through experimental contributions at the bench while leading and overseeing biological investigations for drug discovery projects.Key to success will be the ability to initiate, execute and independently lead new lines of investigation as well as manage, coach, motivate and communicate within a complex multidisciplinary environment. Industry experience is highly desired. Thorough familiarity and demonstrated experience with a diversity of skills in cell, molecular biology and genetics including CRISPR based manipulation & engineering of mammalian cell systems, pooled genetic screens, next generation sequencing technologies, Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) and ATAC-Seq, and working knowledge of data processing downstream of these techniques in order to interface with computational biologists.
