POSITION OVERVIEWThis position will be responsible for supporting product communications on behalf of the global Rare Blood Disorders business. The position will report to the Global Head of Rare Blood Disorders Communications, Sanofi Genzyme Communications, and will be based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.As a key member of a small but growing product communications team, the Associate Director will support and lead select communications for the companys Rare Blood Disorders business, which includes a mix of legacy and development, in addition to a robust developing portfolio. The Associate Director will also work to elevate Sanofis reputation as an emerging leader in rare blood disorders and its broad commitment to patients.This role includes direct support of product and pipeline milestones, including clinical and regulatory communications, program updates, congress communications, and development and execution of unbranded and awareness campaigns.Roles &Responsibilities:Develop and manage comprehensive communication plans in support of rare blood disorders priorities, with a focus on hemophiliaLead Communications for select products and programsCreate communication materials, including press releases, Q&As, social media, website content and eventsServe as liaison with the PR agencyRepresent and socialize communications materials through multiple review committees, seeking alignment across multiple functions and perspectives in advance of material approvalsDevelop relationships with colleagues at the global, regional and country level in support of the businessQualifications:A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Communications, Business Administration or Journalism is requiredA minimum of 8 years of corporate communications experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology area is required (hemophilia/rare blood disorder, product communications, agency experience preferred)Desired Skill Sets: Strong ability to work effectively across functions, levels and business units; proven collaborationExcellent project management skillsProactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently and in team environmentSelected candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communications skills Strong issues management capabilitiesAbility to travel 20% overallSanofi Inc. and its U.S. affiliates are Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employers committed to a culturally diverse workforce.
