RightHand Robotics (RHR) is building a world-class team to solve the biggest problem in ecommerce logistics: how to fulfill orders, despite demand that's growing at six times the rate of available labor. Our cutting-edge robotic picking systems manipulate hundreds of thousands of items -- it's a software-driven, hardware-enabled technology that meets the increasing demands of e-commerce order fulfillment and other industries. We're looking for a Senior Solution Designer to work with our Sales team to help qualify, scope, and propose key projects to our customers. Based in the US and working with our global customer base, you will develop a deep understanding of the RightHand Robotics product offering, delve into customers' needs, propose technical solutions and help customers understand how RightHand Robotics can fulfill those needs through a consultative selling process. You will report to the Head of Solution Design and work closely with the Sales and Engineering Teams. You will bridge the technical and business worlds, collaborating closely with engineers, product owners, salespeople, and customers to ensure that our products solve the right problems and convert our prospective customers into users and raving fans of our robotic piece-picking technology. - The Solutions Design team works with customers to define how best to apply our RightPick product platform to meet their needs . The Solutions Designer operates at the boundary between sales opportunities and Product, Engineering, and Deployment teams. They are the architect of the material flow, physical layout of the workcell, operations interface, and communications design, working in partnership with the Sales team to develop a tangible business case for our prospects. You Will:

  • Develop a deep knowledge of the RightHand Robotics Product offering
  • Understand customer needs and champion RightHand Robotics by talking to customers, visiting sites, and attending trade shows
  • Consultatively participate in the sales process by listening to customers and showing how RightHand Robotics can solve strategic problems
  • Perform technical qualification on customer opportunities
  • Develop detailed Statements of Work which define deliverables for a project, and communicate these deliverables to the Operations and Engineering teams
  • Plan and execute customer and partner trainings to improve usage and sales efficacy of RightHand Robotics products
  • Execute pick tests which demonstrate the performance of RightHand Robotics products
  • Be the voice of the customer in Product and Engineering forums
  • Build new tools and processes to accelerate the design effort
  • Travel up to 50% - You Are (or You Have):
    • 5-7 years of experience in related discipline (pre-sales consulting, product management, applications engineering, professional services)
    • BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
    • Experience working in a warehouse environment or with a warehouse automation supplier
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for regular interaction with customers and fellow team members
    • Curious about processes, systems, companies, and people
    • Desire to work at a startup, to take the initiative to solve problems without having to be asked to, and to persevere even when not all questions have answers
    • Strong organization and time management skills; ability to cope with fluctuating workloads and customer-driven timelines
    • Social and technical skills to dig to the bottom of ambiguous or conflicting customer objectives to understand and articulate accurate project priorities
    • Ability to answer customer technical questions in a friendly and encouraging manner
    • Strong presentation skills with the confidence to present to large, executive-level audiences
    • Strong sales and customer service skills and commercial instinct
    • Analytical, technical and problem-solving skills that can be applied to real world solutions
    • Proven leadership experiences and ability to mentor junior members of the team Bonus Points:
      • Industrial/Robotics/Mechanical engineering degree
      • MBA, Masters in Engineering, or related professional experience
      • Prior start-up experience
      • Experience in supply chain software or automation
      • Experience working with Solidworks or another CAD system, warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse execution systems (WES), SQL, and data modeling tools We Offer:
