The MGBD eCare Deployment team helps to facilitate strategic growth by implementing the MGB instance of Epic at new and affiliated practices and hospitals.

Reporting to the Deployment Manager, the Team Lead is an experienced, cross-functional, and adaptable individual who can lead a project team to delivery complex projects. - The Team Lead manages and motivates the Deployment project team and makes timely decisions to ensure team success within the project's and MGB's parameters. - As a client liaison, the Team Lead will ensure client expectations are managed and met. The Team Lead will work closely with other team members, Lead(s) and manager to collaborate on and implement team processes, best practices, etc. - Team Lead will build trust and respect among the project team to create a positive and collaborative team experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Directly supervise a team of project managers (Deployment Project Team), collectively responsible for managing the implementation of Epic to new and affiliate MGB sitesSets goals for the project team and monitor progress; celebrate team successesCreate team building opportunitiesInspire and motivate team members to set and reach individual goalsComplete annual performance reviews: provide feedback and encourage growth throughout the yearThe Team Lead will guide, advise, and coach the Deployment project team, connecting daily tasks to larger goals, and provide context and supportCreate a vision around the project to provide team members with a sense of purpose and motivationUnderstand the workings and needs of the client you are partnered with; ensure the teams interactions with the client demonstrates a good understanding of their definitions, their core characteristics, and their valuesEnsure the team remains focused, motivated and on track, including addressing any conflicts or bottlenecksSeen as a focus of Epic deployment knowledge and a key person whose opinion and advice on Epic implementation activities and clinical and revenue cycle solutions is actively sought by clients and other project team members across MGBCoach team members on curating solutions that will fulfill design requirements, technical feasibility, and adhere to enterprise program build standardsResponsible for the quality of project team deliverables. - The Team Lead will oversee every stage of the implementation and ensure consistent quality and Deployment Team standards are adhered to.As a champion of high creative/technical standards, the Team Lead will coach the project team to encourage the same in themAs needed, get team members from different disciplines to come together as a team and work through issues or develop solutionsServes as escalation point for all project activities including risk management, solution management, implementation activities, stakeholder communication. Etc. - Knows when to delegate escalation upwardsEffectively communicates team status with Deployment Manager and Deployment DirectorAccountable for the success of the Deployment Project Team's execution of day-to-day responsibilitiesUse/s the Mass General Brigham values to govern decisions, actions and behaviors. Qualifications -Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related; Master's degree, and/or PMP certification highly desired. Must have 8+ years of experience in healthcare systems project/program management.Experience in healthcare packaged software implementations and associated methodologiesExperience in the design, development and implementation of Electronic Medical Records is a plus.Experience working with clinician and revenue cycle stakeholders in an ambulatory and/or hospital setting a plus.Must have experience working with large teams, driving conversations and decisions across multiple workstreamsEpic certification is a plus.Customer services/support experience is a plus.A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role may have 2-6 FTEs as direct reports

Fiscal Responsibility:

No direct budgetary responsibilityDemonstrates fiscal responsibility by effectively using Mass General Brigham resources

Working Conditions:

As projects and priorities dictate, must be available to work non-standard business hours such as evening, nights, weekends, and holidays if/when necessary. - This especially relates to command center coverage that aligns with every go-live event.

This position requires occasional local travel to MGB sites, vendors, and/or conferences Hospital work environment working conditions include possible exposure to diseases or infections and may require safety gear (PPE) such as gloves and mask.Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk; or hear; use hands to finger; handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms.
