Responsible for developing the roadmap and strategy for bringing
clinical trial innovation and news ways of working to Takeda; this
includes establishing and executing a plan for adoption of new
innovation as specific programs are identifiedResponsible for
supporting clinical operations strategy, execution and management
of global clinical programs as defined in the Clinical Development
Plan (CDP) by driving adoption of novel methods and technologies in
clinical trial deliveryOverseeing implementation of novel methods
and technologies in compliance with quality standards (including
ICH GCP, local regulations and Takeda SOPs)ACCOUNTABILITIES Act as
a thought leader on innovation (including methods and technologies)
in clinical development to build and maintain a comprehensive
external perspective on industry trendsResponsible for driving
collaboration with asset teams in clinical development to
understand painpoints in Takeda's clinical development process to
identify and prioritise value-adding opportunities in
developmentResponsible for keeping abreast of innovation in
clinical development, including industry trends, technological
developments, and, vendor landscape etc to identify potential use
cases in Takeda's clinical development pipelineResponsible for
driving collaboration with asset teams (e.g. COPLs, SSELs etc.) to
identify opportunities for improvement in Takeda's clinical
development processes, systems and resourcingResponsible for
developing and executing Takeda's clinical development and
operations innovation strategy based on external and internal
perspectives to achieve GDO's short-term and long-term
objectivesDevelop proposals and manage execution for piloting and
wide-scale implementation of novel methods and technologies,
including budget, timelines, required vendors, performance metrics
etc.Ensures Takeda's processes and teams are sufficiently prepared
and equipped to work with external innovation in clinical
development and operationsAccountable for developing processes,
SOPs, and systems required to operationalize novel methods and
technologies in selected trialsEnsure study teams are adequately
supported and resourced to implement novel methods and
technologies, including systems, capabilities, training and
expertiseOversee continuous cross-functional diagnostic processes
and discussions to measure success and inform intervention if
necessaryResponsible for training, coaching and mentoring
supervised employees (direct and indirect reports) to create a
culture that attracts, retains and develops innovative thinkersAct
as a role model for Takedas valuesLeadershipDemonstrated ability to
work across functions, regions and culturesEnterprise level
leadership with the ability to inspire, motivate and drive

for the organizationEDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND
SKILLS:Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent required, Life
Sciences preferred12 + years experience in the pharmaceutical
industry and/or clinical research organization, including 6+ years
in clinical study management, including at least 6 years of line
management experienceExperience in people leadership, managing
global teams and coordinating collaboration with cross-functional
teamsStrong strategic thinking, planning, execution, and
communication skillsGlobal/international experience required,
including ability to collaborate with colleagues and staff in other
locationsOperational experience in clinical development with
significant direct exposure to implementation of novel approaches
in clinical developmentHealth care business acumen with a
comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industryWHAT
