ABOUT THE FLOCK
Come join the biomarkers and clinical assay development (bCAD) team! The bCAD team is a collaborative and fun-loving team that will never forget your birthday! We primarily focus on Sickle Cell disease, but also work on ALD and Thalassemia patient samples. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate team member who will be responsible for performing complex technical work on patient samples from our gene therapy clinical trials and be a lead for flow cytometry assay design.
HOW YOU'LL FLY
You'll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by:

• 
  
• Being the flow cytometry lead for the team
  
• Processing patient blood and bone marrow for various assays including qPCR, flow, and HPLC.
  
• Running magnetic cell separation of blood and bone marrow
  
• Running qPCR on colony forming assay
  
• Working with research teams and clinical teams to run experiments to support FDA requests.
  
• Successfully maintaining accurate records, forms, and electronic notebooks.
  
• Participating in writing and updating methods and standard operating procedures
  
  WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  You're the bird we're looking for if you have:
  
  • 
    
  • BA/BS in cell biology, molecular biology, or similar discipline with 4+ years in a laboratory environment
    
  • A strong technical background in qPCR and Flow cytometry assay design
    
  • Comfort working with human blood and bone marrow and experience with isolation of MNCs
    
  • In depth knowledge with Flow Jo and MACSQuant software
    
  • Familiarity with assay qualification and/or validation (a plus)
    
  • HPLC experience (a plus)
    
  • Familiarity with GXP compliance
    
  • Working knowledge of various computer software, hardware, and standard office systems sufficient to record and analyze scientific data and prepare reports (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Prism, JMP, etc.)
    
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
