impactful ways. TheProject Specialist will contribute to the
success of Digital through the management of one or more mid to
large, enterprise-wide projects, and the resources associated with
these projects. - -Digital Solutions Delivery Training &
Communications Team
- Lead large-scale Training & Communications projects including
monthly release, bi-annual upgrades, off-cycle enhancements, and
other projects as needed
- Utilize project management methodologies to effectively manage
projects including project mission and objectives, stakeholder
analysis, current and future state workflow analysis, working with
internal and external SMEs, implementation timeline and plan,
budget planning, tracking all deliverables, and escalating barriers
and risks to leadership.
- Provide project management support for Training &
Communications workstreams including scheduling, agenda planning,
meeting facilitation, decision log, documentation of action items
and minutes, and tracking follow-up items.
- Attend and participate in key Digital and eCare Meetings
representing Training & Communications, providing project updates,
and bringing back updates for Leadership and team.
- Present standing updates to Leadership and Digital on key
projects, accomplishments, and risks.
- Develop and cultivate strong working relationship with internal
team as well as key external stakeholders including Site Training
Leads, Credentialed Trainers, Application Teams, and other Digital
colleagues.
- Serve as backup support for Epic Digital Library (EDL) training
asset repository SME on training assets, reporting, and access
requests and provisioning as needed.
- Serve as backup support for all standing and ad hoc data
analytics needs for Training & Communication from various data
sources including LMS, EDL, Savyint, and other repositories.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop project goals, objectives, approach, and scope through
negotiation and diplomacy that result in a well-defined,
well-sponsored project.
- Develop workplans and timelines to meet project goals.
- Contribute to the development of Digital strategies and
solutions that align with Digital standards and strategic
directions.
- Contribute to the development of capital and operating funding
requirements associated with a project. Manage a project within its
budget.
- Work independently but recognize when the involvement of senior
management is required.
- Plan, manage and oversee projects, using recognized project
management methods including:
- Definition of project scope and objectives
- Management and status reporting tools
- Feasibility and cost benefit studies
- Requirements definition (functional and/or technical)
- System testing/quality assurance
- Training
- Implementation
- Post-implementation/on-going support
- Project administrative activities
- Documentation
- Manage projects within the context of the larger environment
including competing priorities, staffing levels, and budgetary
concerns. Provide appropriate and timely problem escalation
(including potential solutions where applicable) to Digital
leadership, project steering committees, and executive
management.
- Provide on-going project status reports to Digital leadership,
user groups, project steering committee and executive hospital
management. -
- Establish and create a positive project environment through
leadership and mentoring.
- Provide quality customer service, providing on-going
communication, feedback and follow-through with customers and
executive management.

- Bachelor's degree required.
- 8 or more years of relevant experience.
- A combination of education and experience may be substituted

their dependencies, team members, other resources, and
timeline.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate project demands
accordingly.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation
skills.

all organizational levels and build consensus through negotiation
and diplomacy.
- Ability to facilitate and work within a complex, multi-site
environment.
- Flexible, adaptable, and versatile. Supervisory and Fiscal
Responsibility
- No direct reports; may indirectly provide leadership and
guidance to less seasoned and new staff
- No direct budgetary responsibility

General Brigham resources Working Conditions The work environment
characteristics described here are representative of those an

- This position is hybrid and requires local travel and onsite
days at -MGB sites, vendors, and/or conferences
- Hospital work environment working conditions include possible
exposure to diseases or infections and may require safety gear
(PPE) such as gloves and mask.
- Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work
environment is quiet to moderate.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
frequently required to sit; talk; or hear; use hands to finger;
handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is
occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop; kneel; or crouch.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and
occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
