Job Description:

Campus Compact VISTA - Stetson University (Veterans)The Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA program places members in full-time service roles at campus and community partner sites for one year. Members dedicate approximately 35 hours per week to building systems and programs that support low-income college students and community members. The focus is on capacity-building-creating and enhancing systems, structures, and resources to support anti-poverty initiatives, rather than direct service.The program functions as a central hub, providing administration, training, support, and connection to similar initiatives nationwide and to AmeriCorps.Member Duties :

• Enhance support systems and resources for student veterans and military-affiliated students at Stetson University.
• Foster collaborations with local government and community organizations.
• Design and implement programs promoting academic success, career readiness, and social engagement for veterans.
• Collaborate with nonprofits and veteran support services to develop comprehensive support networks.
• Develop grant proposals and funding strategies to sustain programs.Program Benefits :
