These values guide how we get our work done: Patients, Affordability, Accountability & Service Commitment, Decisiveness, Innovation & Thoughtful Risk; and how we treat each other: Diversity & Inclusion, Integrity & Respect, Learning, Continuous Improvement & Personal Growth, Teamwork & Collaboration.GENERAL SUMMARY / OVERVIEW: The Quality Assurance Analyst will report to the Research and Development Manager.Key responsibilities include quality assurance, documentation, test plans, implementation, and support.Software testing and ensuring of quality product delivery will be a significant part of this role.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops plans for and performs QA tests for applications developed for the Imaging department.Maintains and continuously improves quality of test coverage and processes.Works with QA Manager to identify software issues.Provides tier 2 support and troubleshooting assistance to IS service desk as required. Writes and maintains detailed internal documentation on developed systems.Has responsibility for the security of confidential information.Keeps Research and Development Manager well informed of on testing. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change. Manages the process of innovative change effectively. Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.Consistently acknowledges and appreciates the contributions of others. Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices and builds expert knowledge in our industry.Uses the Mass General Brigham values to govern decisions, actions, and behaviors. These values guide how we get our work done: Patients, Affordability, Accountability & Service Commitment, Decisiveness, Innovation & Thoughtful Risk; and how we treat each other: Diversity & Inclusion, Integrity & Respect, Learning, Continuous Improvement & Personal Growth, Teamwork & CollaborationPosition requires carrying a pager on rotational basis for off hours support of software applications.Other duties as assignedQualifications QUALIFICATIONS: 3 yearswork experience with hospital/radiology workflow is preferred. 3 years experience testing software applications including developing test plans and using defect diagnosis techniques.Experience with software in a healthcare environment is preferred.Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.Experience with Microsoft SQL databases and database queries is preferred.Understands project life cycle methodologies, including analysis, coding, testing and documenting.Must have an ability to work in a dynamic team environment that has frequent deadlines and unanticipated scope changes.Bachelor of Science in a technical field is preferred.SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES: Strong analytical, planning, organization, and time management skillsHigh attention to detail and understanding of end-to-end processes Excellent communication skills are required - both oral and written Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organizationAbility to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds and levels within and external to the organizationStrong problem solving, and negotiation skills Requires minimal direction from leadership and possesses the ability to learn quicklySUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: No direct reports; may indirectly provide leadership and guidance to less seasoned and new staffFISCAL RESPONSIBILITY:No direct budgetary responsibilityDemonstrates fiscal responsibility by effectively using Mass General Brigham resourcesWORKING CONDITIONS: Position requires carrying a pager on rotational basis for off hours support of software applications.Possible local travel to Mass General Brigham sites. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk; or hear; use hands to finger; handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop; kneel; or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal office working conditions.
