Our contribution is critical to the success of our customers and Akamai's business.Partner with the bestAs a Architect, you'll help revolutionize the customer experience for Akamai's provisioning products. you'll have the opportunity to lead and influence the future of our products. Collaborating across teams to understand their requirements, you'll lead development, design and implementation of globally available, resilient and highly secure services relied on by millions daily.As an Architect, you will be responsible for:Providing technical leadership across engineering teams to develop, innovate and continually improve product designPresenting and supporting architectural designs and technical visions to internal cross-functional teamsEvaluating future technologies and proof of concepts through trials and assessmentsGuiding and performing activities such as design and code reviews to identify improvements to software quality and performanceProviding technical guidance and mentorship to educate peers on best practice and latest technology trends, tools and techniquesDo what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent related subjectPossess experience of software architecture and designHave expertise working with large scale distributed software systems (i.e. the cloud)Demonstrate experience of technical leadership or managementBe responsible, self-motivated, able to think analytically and create solutions to complex problemsPossess good written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiencesWork in a way that works for youWe recognize that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best can vary for each person.This is a flexible role and may be performed at your home and/or the local Akamai office (in the country advertised).
