QA/Data Analyst
Direct Hire / Perm
Fully Remote, Out-of-State candidates OK
MUST HAVE:
1) Healthcare experience
2) Hands-on experience performing medical data analysis.
3) Experience working with medical codes found with billing and
claim data (they will be asked to provide examples of projects
working with diagnosis code, procedure codes, DRGs, etc.)
Interview Process:
(1st Round) video interview
(2nd Round) timed, 2 hour long SQL assessment
(3rd Round) panel interview with the team.

GENERAL SUMMARY / OVERVIEW
Client's board and system-wide executive leadership are making
significant investments in enterprise data and digital health,
enabling innovation and transformation in the delivery of health
care, research and discovery.
By building out core digital and data capabilities, we are
supporting the achievement of Mass General Brigham's mission to
drive growth and innovation in inpatient, ambulatory, and digital
care.

In the achievement of these goals, Client's Data and Analytic teams
are working together to build a system-wide data ecosystem. We are
both leveraging current assets and building new, integrated
solutions to provide a holistic set of industry-leading data and
analytic capabilities, supporting Artificial Intelligence (AI),
Machine Learning (Client), and real-time insights. Teams from Data
and Analytics, Research Analytics, Clinical Data Science, and
Information Systems are collaborating to build this new data and
analytic ecosystem.
To ensure success of this effort, Client is standing up a new Data
and Analytics operating model with a goal of driving a level of
standardization for data and analytic operations across the teams
involved.
The value of investments in data and analytics were proven out
during our response to COVID-19 as these investments were leveraged
to stand up new reporting and analytic capabilities to support
executive and clinical leadership on managing the pandemic.
Our broad data and analytic community has come together across
Client's 14 healthcare sites with shared urgency, delivering
analytic tools to our system that drove timely insights in both
clinical and operational domains, resulting in effective delivery
of critical care and in organizational efficiencies during a time
of reduced resources.
The Data Quality Analyst, is a critical member of the Client
Digital Organization -and the Enterprise Data Warehouse Quality
Assurance (EQA) team.
The EQA team shares and promotes quality assurance (QA) processes
across MGBD; drives development of product quality standards and
best practices in conjunction with other MGBD teams.
The Data Quality Analyst will evaluate, monitor, and maintain the
integrity of healthare data assets.
Plan and execute testing and data quality control activities for
MGB analytical products.
Is the subject matter expert related to product/delivery validation
best practices.
Identifies opportunities of improvement and increased operation
efficiencies while producing customer facing and internal
documentation to expand product knowledge repository.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform testing on data warehouse analytic assets to ensure our
products meet the business needs and requirements.
Author test plans and summaries to support testing
methodologies.
Translate business requirements to establish data quality rules;
design, develop, implement and provide ongoing support of data
quality scorecards.
Research and develop new tools, technology, and processes to
streamline test execution
Monitor operational source data ingestion and perform quality
checks on the data; collaborate with team members on data
remediation and data cleanup activities
Write complex SQL queries; perform data analysis and testing to
support high quality of deliverables
Summarize testing and validation results; communicate and make
recommendations on the best course of action to remediate data
issues
Develop and maintain product knowledge repository on quality
control processes, workflow
diagrams, quality rules documentation, test scripts, and other QA
related documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of professional data warehouse QA and/or data analytics
experience, preferably in healthcare
Must possess professional experience with SQL, SAS or Python where
you have created queries, pulled large data sets and performed data
analysis and data validation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to
independently analyze quality control/test results and be confident
with recommendations to resolve data issues
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and
especially listening)
Desire to be a key player on a small, growing team in scaling and
operationalizing delivery of premier services to build innovative,
data driven solutions
PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES
Experience with healthcare data is strongly preferred (ex: claims,
clinical, and financial)
Experience with Informatica Data Quality or other data quality
tools is strongly preferred
Experience with SQL Server platform, Snowflake is strongly
preferred
Knowledge of relational database concept and ETL methodologies a
strong plus
Experience working in environments where Agile, Scrum, DevOps
practices are used a plus but not required
Adept at establishing trusted relationships at all levels across
the organization and collaborating across multi-functional
teams
Demonstrated ability to learn new technology and industry concepts
quickly and be able to apply them
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders with competing
priorities
Experience in Cloud Data Warehouse platforms, e.g. Azure Synapse, a
plus
Experience in Azure stack, e.g. Azure Data Factory, Azure
Databricks, Azure SQL, a plus
