Management (PHM) department at Mass General Brigham aims to deliver
health and healthcare for all by translating the evolving needs of
the healthcare landscape into innovative solutions to better serve
individuals, communities, and organizations. In the healthcare

into a new era of healthcare. The PHM Analytics team is seeking an
experienced Senior Analyst. Reporting to the Manager of Analytics,
the Senior Analyst will be responsible for conducting analysis and
producing reports to generate actionable insights that supports
improvements in quality and value of the care of our patients. This
person will work collaboratively with other teams within PHM
Analytics, PHM and across other departments on data analysis,
knowledge sharing, and project development. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES Support the organization's vision, mission and
goals by developing comprehensive approaches to descriptive and
comparative data analysis and reporting of value-based performance.
Work with a variety of tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, Excel, Tableau, etc.)
to access data, write queries, develop programming logic, create
dashboards, manipulate, and analyze large datasets. Build and
foster relationships with senior leadership/physicians and key
stakeholders to understand multifaceted business problems and
develop analytical solutions to complex issues to satisfy reporting
and analytical needs. Design and deliver analytical findings in a
report format or Tableau dashboard, formulate recommendations, and
effectively present results to non-analytical audiences.
Responsible for completing thorough quality assurance procedures to
ensure accuracy, reliability, and validity of work Support the
development, modification, and validation of new metrics as needed
Conduct analysis to examine opportunities for cost containment,
utilization optimization and other areas to support MGB's
Value-Based Care initiatives Perform other duties as required or

experience in analytics and reporting in healthcare 3+ years
analyzing clinical (preferably Epic) and/or administrative data
(e.g., payer claims data or billing data) 4+ years of experience
with a statistical package such as SAS or SQL for analysis and
reporting. Minimum a bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience
in economics, finance, mathematics or business administration
strongly preferred. A master's degree in business/health
administration, public health, or economics preferred. A
combination of education and experience may be substituted for
requirements. SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES Knowledge of
statistical analysis and multivariate modeling preferred Strong
programming skills in SAS and/or SQL, willingness to learn other
programming languages as necessary Possess strong interpersonal
skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams
including staff at all levels of the organization Ability to
interpret results and effectively communicate/present findings to
non-technical audience. Experience with data analysis and
reporting, and working knowledge of data visualization
(Tableau/Power BI) software is preferred Practical problem-solving
abilities, i.e. the ability to formulate hypotheses, test options
and move forward in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage
multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and collaborate
with team members and others throughout the organization Ability to
work effectively and efficiently independently and as a member of a
team Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to take initiative
