Job Description:
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience working with large data sets that include both
numerical second-by-second data, and text-based data
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or engineering
(equivalent experience will be considered)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite of tools including:
- Power BI (M / Dax)
- Power Automate / Desktop Flows
- SQL
- Excel
- Knowledge of Python, HTML, Javascript, Visual Basic and other
languages
- Experience working in Microsoft Azure Development
Environment
- Experience with PLCs, I/O devices and ModBus
- Experience working with a variety of APIs to populate SQL
tables in usable formats
- Experience with breaking down and interpreting data from serial
data sources and implementing IoT a plus Skills:
- Familiarity with maintenance processes/practices and EAM
Systems, such as Trapeze
- Understanding of rolling stock equipment

excellence Key Accountabilities Mechanical Innovation:
- Collaborate with Digital Solutions, Performance, and other
departments to drive innovation within the Mechanical
Department
- Develop, implement, and improve methods of Mechanical work
tracking and reporting both directly and through supporting Digital
Solutions
- Develop and implement an improved process through the
implementation of mechanical digital tools and systems such as
Trapeze EAM, Apps, onboard data capture
- Always on the lookout for new products and advances in
technology that can be deployed in our application to better the
monitoring of assets and analysis of data Mechanical Dashboards:
- Support existing Power BI Dashboards and Trapeze EAM Ad
Hocs
- Develop new Power BI Dashboards to support the Mechanical
Department
- Support Microsoft Power Automate Desktop Flows
- Work with the Digital Solutions department to improve the
reliability of connection to data sources Develop and Maintain
IoT/On Board Data:
- Support design and installation of IoT/On Board data capture
devices
- Create data visualizations for use by Mechanical Department
Personnel to interpret and use second-by-second data from
equipment
- Support Mechanical Department Personnel in the review and
interpretation of data and creation of simple and complex rules to
generate alerts to identify where intervention is required Data
Analysis:
- Support the Mechanical Department with data analysis of
medium/large datasets General Management:
- Manage projects as requested by the Technical Director
- Support the other members of the Technical Team and Mechanical
Department as required
- Carry out other duties as assigned Additional Statements Drug
