OVERVIEW
A product manufacturer in the Massachusetts cannabis market is looking for a hands-on manager to help coach their current team of sales reps. Someone who has a proven track record of cannabis sales, a solid understanding of revenue management, prior sales management experience, and is comfortable working with/reporting directly to the CEO.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  
• Will be responsible for developing and executing statewide and regional sales strategies to meet the revenue objectives of the company
  
• Direct management and coaching of Account Executives
  
• Upkeep a high standard of customer service
  
• Acting as a bridge between the sales and marketing teams, making sure they're collaborating cross-functionally
  
• Report directly to the CEO - collaborate to develop and execute effective sales strategies
  
• Maintain a high level of character, integrity, and professionalism - always representing the company well
  
• Generate sales revenue through statewide sales strategies
  
• Establish and communicate clear, targeted sales goals and monitor progress regularly
  
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports and present them
  
• Utilize sales data for market insights
  
• Coaching, fieldwork, and account-by-account strategy development with Account Executives
  
• Coordinate with the marketing team on special initiatives, product launches, events, and overall strategy
  
• Collaborate with fulfillment and distribution teams
  
• Make sure sales data is updated in Salesforce
  
  Required SkillsQUALIFICATIONS
  
  • 
    
  • 5+ years of sales experience
    
  • Proven track record of cannabis sales management
    
  • Strong communication skills (both written & verbal)
    
  • A strong moral compass
    
  • Willing to regularly travel in and around the state of Massachusetts as needed
    
  • The ability to work well cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
    
  • Exceptional sales skills: persuasion, overcoming objections and obstacles, active listening, negotiation, and revenue management knowledge
    
  • Prior Salesforce experience
    
  • Love and knowledge for the cannabis plant
    
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
    
  • Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws
    
    Desired Skills
    • 
      
    • A current book of business and strong relationships with buyers/retailers specifically in the territory
      
    • Knowledge of the state's cannabis regulations
      
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce
